Cal plays Oregon tomorrow night in Eugene. So the Bears do not get a bye before facing USC next Thursday in San Francisco. It will be interesting to see if that gives the Trojans an advantage for the game.

Stupid waste of time post here Wolf. I'll say this to you, like i'll say to Monte: "DO BETTER!"
I don't know if it is a waste Monopoly (real). It brings up an interesting question. What result is best for USC? Cal losing by a ton, losing a close game or pulling off a miracle by beating the ducks. I think a blow out would be best. Cal would be playing scared about losing 3 in a row and beginning to doubt themselves and their teammates.
1. Cal is a 20 1/2 point 'dog, so we can presume it will lose. That said, I would rather play a team that is losing than one that has winning momentum: advantage SC
2. I would also rather have extra days to rest and to prepare: advantage SC
3. The game is not a traditional home game for Cal, it has to bus down the freeway; and the field is neutral and thus neither team will be used to it:
advantage: even
wasn't cal the one team that gave oregon a game in the regular season last year? something like 16-14. that was at home for cal(i think) and oregon was allowed one let-down.

The field is neutral and the earth is still flat (kinda like your head). Unless there's 40,000 SUCk's fans in San Fran attending the game...The Advantage is Cal's. It's still called HOME COOKIN' whether you get there on foot, or by bus. BTW...the schedule say's "@ Cal".

The point was, ThaiMex, that neither team will be used to the field per se, so from that limited vantage point I would say neither team has an advantage.
I didn't address the fact that there will obviously be more Bear fans in the stands than Trojans, so, yes, advantage Cal there.
By the way, ThaiMex, have you ever considered arguing your points in a civilized, gentlemanly manner?-- We might take you more seriously if you did.
