Post-Notre Dame Apologies
In case you missed it, Chris Galippo and Lane Kiffin apologized to Notre Dame for Galippo's comment that the Irish ``quit'' during the game.
``On behalf of our football program, I apologize for Chris Galippo's statements after the game. I've addressed this with Chris and he is remorseful," Kiffin said. ``I also called Coach [Brian] Kelly to personally apologize. As I said to the media immediately after the game, I thought Notre Dame played extremely hard throughout the game. It was another classic rivalry game and we feel fortunate to have won.''
Galippo's tweeted apology is after the jump.
``If I offended anyone with my post game comments Saturday, I do apologize. I have great respect for their players and their program. It was a great game by both sides. Time to focus on Stanford!!!"

Meanwhile B. Kelly lets his players pop off about Kiffin at their pep rally! The media needs to shine ND out on this hypocrisy!
Why the hell this political correctness BS! They did quit, Galippo and his team mates saw it and had every right to comment. With the heat that CG's been getting trying to conform to and compete with, inside Monte's soft cover schemes, it's been a tough road for the kid thus far. I think he was right on! in letting out a little after that big emotional win, where he had a dominating and positive performance.

Sorry, you guys, it was a cheap crack lacking any trace of class and unbecoming a world class athletic program. Whether or not Galippo is wearing his uniform he speaks for the University when talking with the media. USC and Notre Dame deserve better...

i must say, talking smack before the game is one thing, as Gallupo found out against ASU, but taking smack AFTER the game and basically calling your opponent cowards after they gave a good effort is the lowest cheap shot of all!!
between the comments made on here by trOXans towards Aja and Gallupo, Tyler and the Pious One's cheap shots at the Rudys, one thing is evident: one thing parents can't buy their offspring is class. it must be taught by example. this certainly explains a lot about the trOXans on the field and on this blog.
ignorant people just don't know what their are doing wrong! i'm sure Gallupo doesn't get all the fuss!! it's like the hillbilly taking his shoes off and putting them on the dinner table. they were just raised that way!!

Can't wait to hear what Galippo and pals offer as excuses after this weekends BEATDOWN (Pay attention to the "IFFINS"...iffin this, iffin that). No...they won't QUIT, they'd have to walk off the field during the game to actually QUIT, but inside their tiny little heads, you can be sure they will QUIT.

Given the current states of the two local college football programs your heart surely can't be behind what you are posting anymore.
You have gone to extremely great lengths to annoy everybody here but the only thing you have accomplished is showing that you have way too much time on your hands.

The thing is, I don't think ND quit, I think the coach of ND quit - there's a difference. The ND players kept playing hard, and in fact, kept us out of the end zone on three straight runs inside the 5.
Kelly is pretty classless though. Some ND fans were posting on the South Bend Tribune that Kiffin had no class and used his jump to SC as evidence - conveniently forgetting that Kelly left an undefeated Cincinnati team high and dry before the Sugar Bowl. And Monopoly (minus the period) is right about Kelly allowing Te'o to spout off about Kiffin. I mean, he's talking directly to the opposing coach. I've never heard of such a thing, but Kelly just stands there and lets it happen.
Kiffin may not be the King of Class, but he's nowhere near as bad as he's made out to be. Getting fired by Al Davis is almost a badge of honor and leaving Tennessee for USC is a move that anyone born outside the volunteer state would make.

while the trOXan revel in their latest classless endeavors, the Classy Cadre realize this is merely an ephemeral victory, for cheaters and the classless will not prosper!! like a junkie scurrying into the night with his pockets full of batteries, the high will be fleeting at best!!

as to my comments, aside from personal attacks against the Classy Cadre, i don't notice any serious rebuttals to the matter at hand, which i take as concurrence!!

The matter at hand here is the two football teams, not some trivial matter that you have feebly attempted to promote.
Discussing the states of those teams is what you desparately try to avoid.
So the lesson to all this hubbub is what? It makes no difference whether you were right there on the field, stearing the opponents right in the eye face to face, whatever you think, don't be totally honest and say it when asked by someone (like the press who want some dirt to print). What an apologetic society we have become, soft as hell in the belly and worried sick we have offended someone's delicate sense of their selfish feelings...
Apologizing is not a sign of weakness or being politically correct.
USC broke a very worthy opponent's will Saturday PM. Regardless as to whether an opponent did or did not quit, Chris Galippo's comment only served to diminish USC's tremendous effort on the field.
A good team/player wins with humility and loses with dignity.
