Maybe the best thing gained from last night's game for USC is that Cal threw different coverages at quarterback Matt Barkley that forced him to look for someone besides Robert Woods and also gave him less time than Arizona's defense.
Barkley struggled but he needs to step up against even better defenses that await USC this season and last night was a taste of what might await him.

As a UCLA fan, I can honestly tell you that the best thing to come out of last night's game was the burning of Farmer's red shirt - 4 carries for 4 yards seems WELL worth it to me! Think on Lane!
