And one of those five wins was Syracuse's win over Toledo when the replay official disallowed a made field goal to deny Toledo a victory.

Hilarious, how some people can't post a comment without mentioning UCLA. UCLA's losses have been to Houston 6-0, and having the #1 offense in the nation, Texas 5-1 and Stanford 6-0. USC hasn't played anybody worth mentioning, except for ASU which beat the devil out of the trOJans. Had USC played Houston, Texas and Stanford USC would be 1-4 as we speak. Bottom Line is UCLA is tied for second place in the conference at 2-1. Go Bruins!!

Nobs, yes it was a fantastic win, over a 3-1 team with the #4 passing offense in the nation, and averaging 45 points a game.
USC also had some fantastic wins over Utah and Minnesota, the two door mats of college football, and Syracuse that beat Toleda only after the refs blew a call on a field goal that was good...amazing win over 1-5 Arizona too, who got spanked by Oregon State (a team UCLA beat), while USC needed bad calls from the refs in order to BARELY beat Arizona by 7 points...nice win over the only real team USC has played, ASU - oh wait! ASU destroyed USC...gee! SUC SUCKS!!!

Higher rejection - rate? IF true, it's because you have limited space in that tiny campus, certainly NOT becaus USC is more exclusive. 37,000 applied to USC, while 81,000 applied to UCLA, the highest of any school in the country - BY FAR, breakin it's own recored of 57,000.
Higher US News Ranking - by one spot, WHOOP DEE DOO!! and not even close in every other ranking poll, I dare you to find one other source, you have a better chance of finding Jimmy Hoffa.
Truth is, anybody with rich mommies and daddies, and the right SAT score can go to USC. When people see a decal on a car that reads "USC parent" the fist thing that comes to people's minds is "that kid has rich family" - when people see a decal that reads "UCLA parent" the first thing that comes to people's minds is "wow, that kid must be smart".
UCLA has the stringest admission standards of any public university in the country for student athletes, and the third stringest in the nation only behind Notre Dame and Stanford.
