Kiffin’s Greatest Victory

Even the normally reserved Lane Kiffin could not deny this was his greatest victory as a head coach.
“That’s easy, it is the biggest (victory),” Kiffin said. “It broke the longest home winning streak in the country.

  1. I have always admitted when I am wrong. And I’m happy to say that I was wrong again about Kiffin and how USC had no chance in this game.

Lane Kiffin looks like he’s the finest coach in the Pac-12 right now. USC should be the champions of the conference. Personally, I will not recognize whoever wins it. It shouldn’t be the “Pac 12” championship if only the bottom 11 teams can play in it.

  2. Dixie – even if we were eligible, we’d still have to beat Oregon again in Eugene on December 2. We’d still be 10 point dogs.

  3. Despite the 4th quarter, USC won and that is all that matters. This win is HUGE! As critical as I have been of Kiffin’s playcalling ability, he was flawless (but for the first few plays of the game). USC showcased to the country that it is back! People can say what they want about Kiffin and what he’s done in the past but if there is one thing that I think he is way ahead of, it would be recognizing the importance of having a good kicker. How many high-caliber games have been decided by walk-on kickers? Kiffin went and recruited the best PK and P in the 2011 class. If the situations were reversed, I’d feel comfortable about putting the game in Heidari’s hands (foot?) from 37 out.

  4. dixie: you squirt all over yourself like a whore. why don’t you wait until after next week’s loss (your third in Pac-12 play) and then size up the conference.
And don’t forget that Stanford and ASU bitch-slapped you too, and both made Barkley look like the JV quarterback on that particular night.
But our stomp on your face will hurt most, because it will be the first of many in a row once again.
The tide is turning, and you will feel it soon after kickoff next week.

  5. Kirk Herbstreit was spot on with his comment regarding that AP voters should be taking notice of USC. One would hope that Scott Wolf realizes that we are a top 10 team made up of mostly freshmen and sophomores. USC is the best team in the PAC 12, which means that all is right with the world again. So many great individual performances that made up a great team performance. Pullard, Bailey, Uko, Harris, Starling played phenomenally.

    Fight On!

  6. Hope you remember you said that fucla-of-the-rockies. You’re dreaming, dumbass! LOL

  7. UCLA Rockies, even by the deplorable standards of the sleazy comments regularly posted on Scott Wolf’s free-wheeling crack-den of a blog, your first sentence is vile and disgusting.

  8. Dixie, you won by a missed field goal

and some poor play by Oregon’s passing game

if both teams played again in the pac12 conf game, I would hardly expect USC to take such a big lead again

I think you are suffering from the “Boise St syndrome” : win one big game and think you are #1 in the nation

enjoy the win and watch us play in the Rose Bowl

  9. @oregon111..In the case of Oregon, wouldn’t that be 2 Boise State wins? The Not Ready for Prime Time Ducks (Boise twice, Ohio State, Auburn, LSU and now last night) keep on proving what had been an Oklahmoa tradition in the mid-1980’s …play a team with speed on defense, especially one with a passing game, and lose everytime. Play teams slower on defense and score 50 points. You are not unique…..you’re a Big 8 conference throwback.

  10. section 12,

Ducks had enough offense (after the 1st qtr)

the problem was they couldn’t get USC off the field,

so I would take your insight and modify it a little…

we are more like an NBA throwback – teams that tried to score 120 and never played defense

also, great job of playcalling — USC always had an open target & Barkley always had time to throw

  11. 111, you haven’t won a National Championship since who knows when?(if any, I don’t think so) STFU you dumb bastard. SC beat the $h!t out of the Ducks for three quarters. Enough. Pretty soon, every team in the Pac 12 will figure out the Ducks. Not to mention we KILLED Oregon’s recruiting. ROFLMAO
