USConquer……”Oregon sucked”???? If that’s true, then this game didn’t mean much. Look, Oregon is really good. Our D played well until it ran out of gas in the 4th and stopped tackling. GREAT WIN! Everyone used to complain about USC having no competition in the Pac 10 and being a 1 team conference.
I love how the Ducks, both their players and fans, thought their program was so special. They thought they had a dynasty in the making. You have to win big games to be a dynasty. USC is the only Pac-12 team that can win the big games. Look at history.
Seeing the Oregon fans crying last night was so awesome! I’m sure their tears were sugary sweet! Yummy!! It’s funny that they were all wearing big “O”s on their heads and bodies. “O” = Zero big games won, zero national titles. The mark of the loser. That’s how the entire football world sees their program.
This game showed three things:
1) The Pac is figuring the Ducks out, just like Pete Carroll’s USC was eventually figured out. The Oregon style of football is becoming pretty out-dated very quickly.
2) USC players are just as fast as the Ducks, if not faster. So much for the “speed advantage”.
3) USC has a better, more physical defense than the Ducks.
I though all a player had to do was get the ball to touch the imaginary plane of the white goal line to score a touchdown, which Tyler did in the reply. It is my understanding that if the tip of the ball touches that plane, it is as good a touchdown as crossing the line. If that is the case, the replays on Tyler’s TD confirmed the score, and the fact that he didn’t cross the line didn’t really matter.

I am so excited to see our guys playing 4 quarters of football, not letting things slip away at the end. It seems that running back’s fumbles is our weakest area right now. We turned it over enough to lose the game, but didn’t, I am very proud of that fact. Oregon knows they were in a hell of a game and got beat.

49, wel said again. Our defense was “faster” last night than in the last 3-4 years! Coach O did a fantastic job and Gramps Monte called a great D game. Just love all the haters! WE ARE BACK.
Oregon has a pretty loaded team, and they’ll be a contender so long as Chip brings in the speedsters. But the best part about this win is how we played real, traditional football to win it. Some shotgun, some snaps under center, balanced run/pass. Long sideline routes. Tight end over the middle. Run off guard and off tackle. Bootleg. Pro scouts might find their next Devon Hester watching the Ducks. They could probably field an expansion team watching the Trojans.

SC triple OT on Stanford and the win over the Ducks shows that SC belongs right up there with them as “the” team in conference. Stanford has no convincing argument with barely beating us and losing by a boat load to Oregon “AT HOME”. We went into the den of lions and never trailed in the game. We took it to them and in the end they blinked not us. Fight on!

ucla will still have six wins, which is what’s required to be bowl eligible. It doesn’t mean they will receive a bowl bid, but only that they are eligible. But given the number of bowl games, most 6 win teams receive a bid.
I believe ucla was 6-6 in 2009, and they needed one of the service academies to lose in order to go to the Eagle Bank Bowl. Pretty lame way to back into a bowl game. Perhaps its a precedent for the way ucla will get into the Pac-12 championship game this year.
You may be wondering if having a full “Passion Bucket” improves a team’s odds of being bowl eligible. It does not. It only makes you the laughing stock of college football.
