Crist To Transfer
Notre Dame quarterback Dayne Crist is going to transfer and will be eligible immediately if he attends a graduate program his undergrad school did not. If Matt Barkley were to turn pro, would USC be an option? Crist is from Southern California, after all.

Let's see. Here's a QB who was decent but not exceptional, who has just one year of eligibility left, and who would have to learn our offense from scratch, during the first year of scholarship limitations, when we already have three promising underclassmen on scholarship.

Wolf is trying to bait readers into ripping on a decent kid who's had some bad breaks with injuries and a disappointing career so far. Pretty sad, even for Wolf, a man who is always in search of a new personal low.
As Wolf knows, Crist has shown nothing in 4 years at ND that would give him a chance to start there. Further, QB is not a position of need for USC (probably won't take one in this class) and USC can't afford to burn a schollie on a guy who will only be around for one year.
Wolf's post is nothing more than a feeble attempt to generate some hits and hate for a guy who's done nothing to deserve it.
Maybe he can coach the Bruins. I see Sumlin is now out of the running.
Again, Wolf is being foolish, as he is want to do. Honestly though, I wonder if he'll consider UCLA. They have so many graduate programs, so finding one Notre Dame does not have is not an issue. And the team clearly could use a different look under center.
And what has he done to warrant any consideration?
Dayne Crist to USC is a non-starter. We have scholarship limitations so why would we burn one for him? He would be a 4th stringer at best, he'd only be around for a year, and he wasn't good. I know USC recruited him hard when he was in high school but Crist would be better served looking at a I-AA type of school where he would get playing time.

you're the professional, but that post--is that even english? dangling modifiers, participles, etc. dont you mean to say that j crist is eligible if the target school offers a degree that his current school does not. i'd go over to thematic option and get a little writing refresher. there's not too much that separates you from the hoi polloi.
