Fairly Quick Decision

When USC offensive tackle Matt Kalil announced he was going pro he said, “I love this university. That’s why it took a while to decide.”
The decision actually didn’t seem to take so long. Underclassmen have until mid-January, so he could have waited (like Matt Barkley could). But the evidence was apparently too much to wait any longer on going pro.

  1. Hey D bag (aka Wolf) he actually did the coaching staff a favor by declaring this soon. Now the staff can plan for another early recruit or go harder after Kyle Murphy. I’m sure Kiff wants all these guys to decide this month to settle early commits and to help solidify the young bucks on possible playing time….

Senior Wolf: King of the D-bags….

  2. I thought he took more than enough time to announce his intention considering that it was very unlikely he was coming back. When you are considered the 2nd pick of the NFL draft, why didn’t he announce sooner, maybe he needed time for the pros and cons and I definitely respect his decision.
Mr. Wolf, you are sounding more and more like a Fox News or MSNBC host instead of using some facts to back your assumption. What ever happened to real journalism?

  3. It’s not like he waited until the end of the season before he said, “Gee, I’d better start thinking about going pro”

He would’ve likely begun considering his options at the beginning of the season, it not earlier.

  4. Scotty at his best again. Nothing like a third string hack “reporter” calling out a kid on his love for his Universtiy. Guess that is cause Scotty’s greatest moment at USC is when he finally passed freshman english and the football players quit stuffing him in the trash can. If just one girl said hi to you Scotty in your tenure at USC you might not be so bitter. Your best friends are a couple of Ruin trolls who have less of a life then yourself.
