Tonight, the Cowboys sent out a press release detailing why they should be voted No. 2.
One fact mentioned was wins over current BCS Top 25 teams.
Oklahoma State: No. 10 Oklahoma, No. 11 Kansas State, No. 17 Baylor, at No. 22 Texas, at No. 25 Missouri
Alabama: No. 8 Arkansas, at No. 21 Penn State
Stanford: None
Now that is a little skewed because Stanford beat USC, who would surely be in the BCS top 10 if not for probation.
and for the benefit of trOXans who think Southern Cal should be ranked in the top 3, I am sending out a press release describing how the trOXans LOST 2 of 3 against ranked teams this year!! HAWR-HAWR!!
now i have to get back to planning for the BRUINS Bowl Game!! our tune-up game against Oregon went pretty well, we used the game mainly to experiment with some new formations we will use in the bowl game!! i feel so ALIVE!!! and tingly ALL over!!

Hey fred, I'd rather lose 2 games to ranked teams than suffer 7 blowouts, soon to be 8, majority of them to unranked teams lol (oh, and lets not forget one of them being that 50-0 thrashing).

I'd prefer to see LSU-OK State, but I think it should be LSU-Alabama. OK State referencing wins is fine, but they also have a really bad loss to a 6-6 Iowa State in 2OTs. That's like Oregon losing to ucla. Alabama's only loss was 9-6 in OT to #1 LSU. If the LSU-Alabama game weren't so boring, there would be less desire to see someone else play LSU in the national championship game.
OSU beat 4 teams that were ranked at the time they played them, and 5 teams that they played are now ranked. Meanwhile, Alabama beat 5 teams that were ranked on gameday, with only 2 teams on their schedule currently ranked. Either the pollsters were wrong, and/or teams fortunes changed following the game. I don't believe its fair to benefit/penalize a team because their opponents played better or worse following a game.
OK state versus LSU, I think would be the best game based on the teams right now. I think OK state is a better team overall than Alabama, right now, perhaps not previously. USC improved the same way. Seems LSU has been good all year but not greatly improved. Still the luckiest team in football history, year after year.
