When you're wrong, you're wrong ...
I was way off predicting Barkley's choice, measuring him against 99% of all the other players out there. Instead, he cited many of the intangibles of USC, as well as those of our football program's situation. Although he's truly an elite player, we need more individuals like him on future teams. Many more.
Of all the specifics Barkley mentioned, the most intriguing to me was the sanctions and what he darkly hinted was the NCAA's attempt to destroy the program. By any measure, this has brought the team closer together and provided a sort of zeal for justice and extra incentive to win. I didn't predict that, either.

trOJanFan - who the f*** cares if Barkley is coming back, you delusional one, you act as if Barkley is anywhere near the class of Luck, or Robert Griffin...the reason Barkley didn't leave is because he's afraid to compete with the big boys...and probably after noticing that not a single USC QB has done shit in the NFL...he's pretty smart for staying, who would want to spend his career holding a clipboard? at 6'2" he's considered a midget in the NFL.

.....where to start....
1. Statistically, Barkley was better than Luck and played as well as him head-to-head 2 years in a row.
2. Afraid to compete with the big boys? He took on Ohio State at the Horseshoe as a true freshman; I don't think fear is an issue for him.
3. Pretty sure there are currently 3 starting QBs in the NFL from USC right now. How many from UCLA? oh, you're just judging SC on a tougher scale? Good, that's how it should be, glad you recognize that.
4. Being 6'2" won't hurt Barkley. Ask Drew Brees, who at 6'0", is a pro bowler.. has won a super bowl.. and is about to break Dan Marino's single-season passing record.
5. Oh yeah, almost forgot, ENVY ON! You, Bucket & ThaiMux (same person, different usernames) can't stand the hype and anticipation SC fans have for their team because YOURS IS TRASH. WE LOVE IT!
