I don't think Baxter even wants to be a head coach... anywhere. It doesn't seem like his style. Some coaches are great coordinators and assistant coaches and others are better as head coaches. Baxter seems to be suited for the former and not so much for the latter.

On another Fresno State related tip, I wonder if Kiffin will give any thought to bringing in his old head coach, Pat Hill. Hill worked under Belicheck at Cleveland and is known for being one of the better offensive line coaches in the country.

I think Pat Hill would be a great addition. There would be no slacking off with Coach O and Coach Hill getting after you. It would probably be a good move for Hill as well. Couple of years to recharge and then get a good look at a Mountain West HC job where he could get some payback.

On Fresno State, I just hope that isn't Kiffin's real dream job. After all, Vols fans thought UT was his dream job after he named his own son after their town.

Did Kiffin name his other kid Fresno?

I don't know about his offensive prowess, but Pat Hill is way too defensive PR wise to have a position where he has to ever address the media or the public.

Check out the above link to the "Pat Hill Show" where he challenges the callers to give their name as he feels attacked. Just seems like a small town hire to me.

...UCLA? Playing the 6-6 Illini in the most depressing game of the bowl season!! Both coaches fired, a 6-game losing streak, a team that lost 50-0 to the top-5 team the bRuins replaced in the conference title game only to lose (of course), and a chance to finish the season 6-8 as the worst bowl team in NCAA history!!!
