Heaps had a hard time moving BYU's offense. How would he keep up with Lee and Woods? Riley Nelson was the driving force for BYU. Perhaps there is another local school that can use him. With scholarship limitations USC is not in a position to misuse what they have.
South Carolina maybe, Southern Cal, no way.
Its remarkable that kids want to transfer to USC where we will have an embarassment of riches at most positions, yet they do not include ucla where playing time is likely to be plentiful. This is similar to ucla's head coaching search. ucla can't hire a head coach because it is widely considered as a third-tier football program by everyone outside Westwood.

Regarding Christ, yes. Jesus Christ would make a great QB or any all around player. He's also a fantastic savior. The guy's got a birthday coming up, too.
Does anyone now if a mid-year transfer from another FBS school count against our scholarship limit?

I have watched him play at BYU he is nothing special. Dunno maybe he will develop but we aren't in a situation to have luxuries like giving a scholie to someone we "hope will develop"
Baylor's Griffin has already graduated....maybe pulls a Russell Wilson and lands somewhere like THE Ohio State?
