I've heard he's a 50-50 possibility for SC, but if there was a tell in that story, it may have been that his best friend is heading to Butler. If he doesn't choose SC, here's betting Notre Dame gets him.

But I hope he ends up as a Trojan.

I have been to Africa and I love the spirit and humility of its people, and this kid sounds very much African

If he wants to leave family and Florida so he can find out who he is as a man, the Southern California climate would be the closest weather to Florida.

But one comment from his brother was that he was quick but not fast. College football has become a speed sport, so perhaps the jury is still out on him.

It's down to USC and Florida for his services.

"heres betting notre dame gets him"?? lets hope you arent a gambling man. All indications are that its a two team race between USC and Florida. If he ventures out of florida it will be to Southern California not to South Bend. You can bet on that.

Seems like a good kid with a good head on his shoulders. Then again, he's got a mom and a dad raising him, makes a difference eh?

With the caveat that the "interesting story" is a puff piece, Nelson Agholor sounds exceptional among young star athletes in terms of intelligence, maturity, modesty, and consideration for others. Very unusual.

However, the healthy environment in his family home may work against USC. He doesn't sound like a young man in rebellion, who can't wait to get as far away as possible. And his mother is probably in no hurry to see him go. When she looks at him, she gets reinforcement that she has done an excellent job of parenting.

USC would be extremely fortunate on many levels if he decides he is willing to attend college so far from home. Nelson's attitude reminds me a little of Hakeem Olajuwon. Nelson just seems destined to succeed.
