PAC 12 screws up again. They should have had Oreg and SC play earlier to allow the loser to recover in the rankings before a potential PAC 12 championship game. If Oreg had beat SC on in late September and then SC beat Oreg in the championship game a BCS championship invite may have still been in the works. (or vice versa).

At least we have our last 5 at home, which includes our other home the Rose Bowl on the 17th and hosting the replay of Oregon before the NC game in the Orange Bowl in 2013....

Thanks for the scoop, Scooter...
It will be another 4 months before I come out with my picks for 2012, so you knuckleheads are just gonna have to wait.....(it's gonna be G_R_E_A_T!)
Fite on Torgan, beware of the curse!

The @Stanford (a physical and disciplined team) early in the season on a back-to-back road game after traveling across the country looks like a trap game, but without Luck, Martin, and DeCastro who knows if Stanford will ever be the same. @Utah, another physical road game, could also be challenging. Luckily we'll have extra time to prepare/heal. Weather is a non-factor this season since we play no cold weather teams late in the season and no Arizona teams early in the year.

My take. We'll be undefeated when we play Oregon Nov. 3rd. Should be a great showdown. Outside of Autzen I think we take it and play Oregon again in the Pac-12 championship, once again in the Coliseum. Hard to beat the same team twice, but I think we'll be in the BCS Championship Game.

Our @Washington is at the NFL stadium in Seattle by the way.

3-4 losses on that schedule. Barfly really in a pickle here - be the 5th drafted QB this year or come back next year and try again.

scidiot is right, Larry Scott should have had SC-Oregon as season opener- big ratings on Labor Day weekend and loser has plenty of time to rehabiliate rankings before rematch in December. No brainer but Larry Scott has no brain.

BruinTodd, me thinks you better buy your buddy slopespic a beer, he is really going off the deep end these days. Guess the bacon wrapped 'hut dug' biz really goes into the tank once SC football season ends...

1. That home schedule stinks. I measure a quality game by how evenly matched it is, and these do not qualify except for of course Oregon, and maybe Cal, ND and ASU

2. The "schedule-makers" cannot show bias by selectively placing a game during the season that enhances a team's chances of playing in the national championship game i.e. SC-Oregon

3. What are these bruin jerks on the SC blog talking about. Boy, are they jealous of SC, the home of the big league. Dream on, baby blue, it probably is impossible to ever catch SC football-- at least in your lifetime.

Sadly, I think it will be extremely difficult for this young team to live up to all the hype of a National Championship season and go undefeated. At worst, however, I do see SC in the Rose Bowl (which is not a bad consolation prize--just ask UCLA who has to watch other teams play in their stadium every year). Buahahahaha.
There are enough leaders returning to this team, though, so we'll see if I'm wrong.
Fight on!

Why don't the Trojans play Oregon State and Washington State? Will we ever play those schools again or will the powder blue pansies get the weaker PacNW teams?

Thai/taco bringing his 4&8, ain't it great mantra out of mothballs from last season, bRuin Sodd on board.....both wrong as usual, uclol will be petitioning ncFn2a for bowl eligibility once again. Board game Trivial Pursuit honors bRuins with inclusion.

We should win every game. The 0reg0n game will be tough, but being @ the Coliseum with 95,000 + (80k of them supporting SC) we should win. Hopefully 0reg0n doesn't come out wearing mirrors on their heads and camouflaged jerseys, like they did against Wisconsin.

Also, being a rivalry game I do think UCLA has a shot this year..... of scoring a point!! hahaha

the Nov 3 game is what college football should be all-about...

a big time game for regional bragging rights

if both teams are undefeated going into the game, it will get the national attention it deserves

and - if sh!t - is fair...

next year will be USC vs Oregon for the national championship too

Playing Oregon State and Washington State commences with a home and home arrangement in 2013/2014, which allows ucla to add Oregon and Washington to its schedule for 2013/2014.
Imagine, the bRuins could not win half their games and did not even play Washington or Oregon this past season.
