If a player can get medically cleared by 2-3 reputable (perhaps even mutually agreed upon) doctors, why wouldn't USC then simply ask the player to sign a waiver releasing them (USC) from any liability should the player get injured due to their medical issue in question? Is this illegal or immoral? Obviously I wouldn't want a kid to die playing, but if they can get cleared and what to play why not go this route?
A: I posed questions to Lane Kiffin on this subject on Signing Day and he did not have any answers. This seems to be one of those things where the athletic dept. cannot find a solution to please the administration.

USCFootball.com from Rivals.com reported that George Farmer threatened to transfer if he did not get to go back to playing wide receiver. What do you make of this? Is he unhappy at USC? Are you surprised?
A: I do not expect him to transfer becausee he got his wish and was moved back to wide receiver. I do think he expressed his displeasure because Lane Kiffin wanted him at tailback and Farmer has some leverage with a 75-man scholarship limit.

Is Farmer getting a reputation of not putting in the effort like his high school teammates Woods & Lee?
A: Some have expressed that thought at USC but Lee and Woods have exceptional an work ethic so you cannot compare everyone to them. Farmer could still develop into an impact player.

If SC doesn't win a single solitary mens basketball game in the Pac 12 this season, what are the % chances Pat Haden finally will admit he was wrong, end our long national nightmare and fire Bozo the Coach, and then launch a nationwide search for the best young successful coach from a mid major that has actually made March Madness, or does Haden not care about mens basketball as long as football is doing well?
A: I think it would look embarassing if he went back on his word after saying to so many media outlets that he would not make a change. But the other part is that if USC fans cared about basketball he might feel forced to make a change.

Jesse Scroggins did not participate in the throwing session. is he still on the team? There are rumors he may transfer.
A: Lane Kiffin said Wednesday he is in trouble academically and must turn things around to be eligible. I won't be surprised if he is not back next year.

Wolfie do you think the late recruitment of Miles has something to do with Scroggins being on his way out? Any news on the forgoten corner back Brian Baucham?
A: Yes, I think they were related. Also, I hear nothing from the coaches regarding Brian Baucham, which leads me to believe they are not overly concerned if he returns even though USC is only at 77 scholarships right now and not really needing to cut many players to get down to 75.

"Lee and Woods have exceptional an work ethic so you cannot compare everyone to them."
Seems that if Farmer was smart he'd want to use them as examples so he'd also become an elite WR. I don't blame him for wanting to be a WR, since RBs don't last very long, and the WR is now a more valuable position.
With Wolf being so blunt, I guess Scroggins must really be on the way out.
