How in the world could Kiffin and Co get onto Kyle Murphy late? Sounds like some PC arrogance still lives in HH.
A: I'm confounded by that myself. Especially when former USC offensive lineman Pat Harlow is an assistant coach at San Clemente. It was an incredible dropping of the ball.

Is it possible for Haden to request ESPN to assign a different reporter than Shelley Smith? She's just awful and you'd think the several years that USC has suffered her attention was enough.
A: Perhaps Lane Kiffin can assign Colin Cowherd full-time since he constantly text messages him.

Is it documented somewhere that SC was slow in recruiting Murphy? I've read this idea floated around by Scott a few times but have not seen it on other sites. Can anyone provide supporting evidence of this (not that it matters, he's already signed)? Just curious. Thanks.

my guess on the missed OTs is that they didn't think they could flip Peat or Murphy early on from their heavy leans because of Peat's brother and Murphy's acceptance into Stanford. they already had Tuerk and Simmons on board, but when they got a sense of losing out on the DTs, that's when spots opened up and they started recruiting those two harder.

NCAA sanctions included ESPN reporting by Shelly Smith for life without parole
For years ESPN deliberately employeed fat, plain or ugly women anchors and reporters. I'm glad to see they are correcting that policy with the recent new hire on ESPN First Take!
Seems a certain "hot hot hot" weather reporter on channel 9 news should take this job permanently!I still want to see her in an SC songirl outfit...
