Coaching Carousel

If Lane Kiffin wanted to hire someone other than Sammy Knight as the secondary coach, he should have hired Demetrice Martin before he left Washington for UCLA. Maybe Kiffin did not want to take a coach away from Steve Sarkisian but I doubt there is any gentleman's agreement there.
Would Kiffin hire Nick Holt as linebackers' coach? The pair got along when they were at USC. Although Holt and Pete Carroll fell out after Holt went to Washington, Kiffin was not involved in that drama. So maybe Holt will be a candidate for a third tour at USC.

DonKey, he's not the DC or HC. He's a LB coach. And he did a great job here.

Whoever comes in on the defensive side in coaching, will have to defer to "pops" when it comes to gameplanning during the week and positioning during the game. So all Kiffin is probably looking for is "developement coaches" who will "know their place".

I have a very unique coaching candidate, how about former PSU Defensive Coordinator Tom Bradley? I don't recall his name mentioned on an existing staff. Coach Bradley has coached some great LBs at PSU, he was not mentioned in the Sandusky scandal and this would seem like a great opportunity for him to rebuild his image away from the East Coast. Thoughts????

NOBS is right--Holt was a good position coach here. It's only when he gets promoted that the wheels fall apart.

Holt does need to "know his place" and he'll do just fine......just won't be making 600k, but it's better than not making a dime.....yes, I know he got his 650+k for the year, but that deal is OVER.

NOBS is right, and Holt would do just as good a job as Ken Norton did.

Surprised if Holt would work under Monte and Orgeron down at the bottom of the defensive totem pole unless salary is very good.

22, no offense, but Norton was dog $h!t compared to Holt. '49, I'm totaly bummed Scotty would agree with me on ANYTHING!! BUT, Holt would be a GREAT addition to the staff.....assuming he would "know his place".
