Should Kiffin had made a run at Tosh from Cal? With Barry leaving couldn't he have fit him in somewhere ?

Isn't Kiffin supposed to be some sort of wizard at recruiting? He sure seemed to fan on an awful lot of recruits coming down the stretch.

With USC signing 18 total players and having 18 spots available next season do you think this is no coincedence? If USC typically signs 18-20 players per off season dosent it seem like kiffins staff should get credit for finding a proper solution to the crisis of the sanctions? Main question being did lane kiffin beat the theoretically beat the system?

How in the world could Kiffin and Co get onto Kyle Murphy late? Sounds like some PC arrogance still lives in HH.

Do you think Pio Vatuvei was a "Plan B" recruit just in case coaches couldn't snag one of their primary targets and that's why he ended up a U-DuB? In other words, did that turn him off?

Scott do the coaches have any kind of emergency plan in place for the RB corps? For example, let's say McNeal gets hurt and J Allen doesn't really pan out again this year and doesn't impress...what then? DJ Morgan takes every snap? Farmer back to RB? Penner starts as true Freshman at USC running back?

Scott, please give us your projection for the USC DL depth chart, at least 2 deep at each position, for 2012.

So what happens to a kid's education if after June he learns he's lost his scholarship? Say he's a redshirt senior with a semester left. Is he out at SC, or is he told to pony up over $25K ($50K + if 2 semesters left) to finish up his degree? Can he send the bill to Reggie Bush?

DeVante Wilson is not included in the recruiting services with the EE's or February signees. Where does he fit in as a recruit?

Scott,do you think Lane Kiffin make a huge mistake by not formulating a backup plan to settle for some of the decent 3 star recruits that were available this year after he whiffed on five stars Peat, Murphy and Shittu? He said he would save the scholies for next year but what will we do if there are no quality offensive and defensive linemen available as EEs next year?

Scott, I .know it's way early yet, but just for kicks, could you give us your projected two deep for the OL for next year? Someone already asked for the DL projections, and it would be fun to see how they project as of now, especially to see where you put the new OL guys and the new DE guys. I have WOODS and UKO starting at DT, and maybe an OL guy moving over to help TAVAI and the other guy at DT. HORTON and KENNARD seem fixed at DE, with a new guy [WILLIAMS?] sliding into the rotation. Someone above said we signed 18 guys--Ithink we did too, but can only think of the 15 plus SHAW and WILSON. Wonder who I'm missing. Anyway, my question is: I think Bailey and Robey are great, but Bailey will get killed trying to play LB, and, if Robey wants to play pro ball, it's going to have to be as a WR. Why not move Bailey to Robeys' spot,let one of our new guys play in place of Dion, and use Nickell as a third wideout, especially in view of the fact that we are so thin at TB,and maybe should get away from the 50/50 run-pass ratio, and make it like 70/30 or more to take advantage of Woods, Lee, Barkley, our tight ends and other receivers like our new guy from Florida, Robey, maybe Farmer etc. What do you think of my idea yourself, Scott, and will you pass it on to Kiff? Do you think replacing linebacker and defensive back coaches will hurt USC on the field and in recruiting?

I see where Jordan, the WR, says he lost interest in SC cuz of the scholarship limitations. Assuming he is telling the truth, I'll bet other guys felt the same way. To me, this makes KIFFINS' recruiting job these past two years just all the more remarkable. Do you agree, Scott, that he has done great, and where would you rank this years' class?
As an aside, you know of course, speaking of Jordan, that if you just reverse his first and last names, you come up with another great name in the field of sports.
Another aside, you know of course, that Loel Schraeder died recently at the age of 87. He covered west coast football since the mid 40s, and bled cardinal and gold. Just before he died, he said re Farmer, that if he didn't get his grade changed, he would be on academic probation, but still allowed to participate in Spring practice. Think ol' Loel made a mistake here, Scott? Anyway,it just goes to show how active and interested he was right up till the very end, my fellow Swordsman.

Scott, I am a serious SC fan & supporter. When I first saw your website, I thought it was a serious question & answer site that I could depend on. Your answers have never dissapointed me. I am saddened though with all the personal stuff allowed to come onto this sight and I am just curious, are you willing to let it become a trash site for personal attacks, or will you consider blocking out what is not conducive to the spirit of SC football?

I know you don't give the name of the Fat Booster but can you tell us a little about him and/or his relationship with the university? Things such as: Is he a recognizable name or just some unknown rich car dealer, what type of access did he have to the players/facilities and how did he get it, what type of relationship did he have with Ceasar, Mike Garrett, Pat Hayden and then-Offenive Coordinator Lane Kiffin and could he take Sam Gilbert and Buddy Garrity in the octagon?

SW: Does the coaching staff expect some of the young players on the DL to be able to provide it with quality playing time? There are a lot of players there, but most are unproven. Do you think they'd consider moving to a 3-4 in order to get the best or most experienced players on the field?
