Tailback U. Recruiting
There are seven uncommitted tailbacks in Rivals.com's list of its Top 100 players in 2013. USC's offered three of those tailbacks (Ty Isaac, Greg Bryant, Derrick Green. One of those not offered yet is Justin Davis, who is from Stockton, Calif. But I suspect he will be eventually.
The top-rated tailback, Thomas Tyner of Beaverton, Ore., is already committed to Oregon.

And we all know much a verbal commitment this early means. It's about as rock solid as a UCLA grad's prospect at getting a highly paid job out of college...
USC will work on Tyner....
Beaverton, Oregon + Phil Knight = Not a chance! Let's not get our hopes up for Tyner. Nike's #1 son, will play for the owner's team.
based on early offers, the class of 2013 will include 5 RB + 5 WR + 3 QB + 2 S + 2 LB + 1 DT.
1. Interesting point, CryWolf. What are the best criteria to apply to engender healthy competition and depth at a position, but not to create a logjam that breeds dissatisfaction and attrition via transfer?
Anyone got a good list of criteria?
2. Monopoly, do you really believe what you write about UCLA? I think that US News ranked UCLA one spot behind USC. I guess those job prospects must diminish exponentially with each one-spot drop in ranking. No wonder that Murphy, Peat, and Garnett chose Stanford. :)
