A lot has been made of all our Medal winners at the Olympics, but no one has mentioned that of the 25 medals won by our Trojans 18 were won my WOMEN, and I say that because MOST of you have been knocking the UCLA National Titles because so many of them have been won by their women’s teams, and you have constantly attempted the downplay their significance, yet the first two posters here are acting as if they have supported women’s athletics, well, at least here they HAVE NOT.
I have read many of their posts, and have downplayed the accomplishments of our hated rivals across town for having their women win National Titles more than their men in recent years, we can’t have it both ways.
Furthermore, it should be noted that of the 7 medals won by the “men” of Troy, 5 were won representing other countries. The only medal winners that represented the U.S. are Bryshon Nellum and Josh Mance.
You can’t have it both way, fellas, you can’t have it both ways. If we glorify our women of Troy for their success in the Olynpics, then we must also acknowledge the tremendous accomplishments of the Bruin women, whom have schooled schools across the nation in winning National titles. Just saying.
Women’s sport don’t count. And we should count these Olympic Medals either. I mean, it’s nice to let the women complete, cut their medals just don’t mean as much as the Men’s.

Out of the 25 Medals, only 7 were won my men, and 18 by the women. And it should be noted that of the 7 medals won my the men, only 2 were won by men representing the U.S. Nellum and Mance. What is up with our men? I guess the women are the new face of Troy?

’79, one other thing to remember when it comes to this topic is that the women in ALL countries have the opportunity to compete in each women’s event. That is not the case with USC and Fucla. Girly Ball is not provided at SC. Get my point?

I took second semester Chemistry with Lennox Miller. Mr. Miller earned two Olympic Silver Medals in the 100 meter dash, the first metal while majoring in Pre-Dental at USC. Mr. Miller ran for Jamaica.
Fellas, I don’t give a da*n who Mr. Miller represented at the Olympic Games. His PRESENCE at USC SAYS IT ALL !!! He could have attended Cal, ucla, LSU, Syracuse, Yellow Knife JC, even a foreign university, but he, like the 21 USC Alumni honored above, chose our University of Southern California. Ever heard of the word PRESTIGE, fellas ? NOTORIETY ? GLORY AND HONOR ? FAME ABOVE ALL ?
Ms. Felix’s student attendance at USC was mentioned time and time again to roughly 4 billion people.
I was accepted to Cal and ucla for the Fall Semeter, 1965. Cal was inundated with dope addicts, flag burning traitors, fornicating idiots while ucla was turning out pot head Communist one after the other. My 4 years at USC introduced me to many very special young men and women who later carried the successes of our nation on their shoulders as did other like minded citizens.
Nowhere to be found during my 4 years at USC were Soiled Apples, Hippie Dope-heads the likes of Pelosi and Obama.
