OK, I know some of you are having trouble registering for comments. Here are a few notes that should help you through it:
1) When you register, do not use the same user name that you used with Typekey, our old registration system. You will get an error saying that user already exists. Use a different user name. You can put your old username in the ‘Display Name’, which is what will show up on the blog.
2) After registering, you will receive an e-mail confirmation. Make sure to go to that e-mail and follow the link. Your registration will not activate until you do that, so you won’t be able to post. If you don’t see it in your inbox, check your junk mail folder.
3) If you don’t receive that e-mail, or have any other problems, let me know and we’ll figure it out.

I know comments have been a bit topsy-turvy over the past six days. We upgraded our blog server software and ran into some unexpected problems, but it should all be worked out now. Comments are 100% functional again. But we’ve had to abandon typekey, which we were using for authentication. We’re now using an internal authentication system. So that means if you already registered to post on this site, you now have to register again. I’m sorry about that. If you have any questions, feel free to e-mail me. Thanks for your patience.
