Happy Father's Day!!

Not much to talk about here at the moment but I am spending a lovely day with my father in-law. I just thought I'd poke around to see what's out there that's pet/animal as well as DAD related. So here are a few things that I found. While I love Animal Planet I have not watched it very much for a long time (must change that). They have a show called the A-List. Here is a list (and photos) of their TOP TEN DADS!! I had a feeling that the seahorse would be #1 because they actually give birth to their fry (learned that in Elementary School).

Here's an excerpt from wikipedia:

The male seahorse can give birth to as many as 2,000 "fry" at a time and pregnancies last anywhere from 40 to 50 days, depending on the species. When the fry are ready to be born, the male undergoes muscular contractions to expel them from his pouch. He typically gives birth at night and is ready for the next batch of eggs by morning when his mate returns.

But then again, like all other fish (and turtles etc...) they leave their babies to fend for themselves. But the giving birth part has always blown me away. I don't think human men could handle that! LOL!!!
