This weekend I met several cool new people at my cousin's barbecue. So naturally I told them about this blog and asked people if they'd like their pets profiled....especially if they live in the Valley or if it's Valley related in any way shape or form.

Ken and Marie Feldman of Playa del Rey may not live in the Valley but they rescued their newly adopted Boxer Porto from Boxer Rescue L.A. in Encino. So technically he is a Valley dog as well as a Southbay dog...heheh!!

In an email Marie wrote that...

"Porto (formerly known as JR by the rescue) is a a 2 year old, with great manners, lots of energy and is fun, playful and very loving!"

Ken and Marie decided to adopt a dog shortly after getting married in April. So they moseyed on down to Boxer Rescue where Porto captured their hearts.

"He has been with us for three and a half months now and is very happy to be part our family. We feel lucky to have found him and we were so impressed with the Boxer Rescue LA and the work they did to bring us together."

Welcome to a new home Porto! Okay you've been there for three months but it's still pretty new to you. I know you'll have a great life with your wonderful new parents.

Porto & his parents Marie & Ken are amazing! It was so wonderful to work with them and I wish I could clone them for the other 100+ Boxers that need loving homes! :) Porto is so loved! This is an awesome blog and thank you for the nice mention of Boxer Rescue LA (www.boxer-rescue-la.com). Rescue is the only way to go -- the animals need us!

So cute! I love Boxers! I've heard good things about Boxer Rescue.

Doberman Rescue is hiring, it seems. I'd absolutely LOVE to go work for them as Dobies are my favorite breed, but they're in a bad part of town so I probably can't.

Oh and I just LUUUUVVV the photos you've posted, Simone! Very sweet. Great to look at at the end of the day. :)

:) Yeah things like this always make my day too!

You're welcome. Glad we could help. Yeah it's so fun doing this blog.
Marie and Ken are very nice. They definitely seem like great pet
parents.

Simone :)
