Hey, want some candy?
You can get it fresh and homemade in the Inland Empire.
Logan’s Candies, a downtown Ontario landmark since 1933, makes the best candy canes you’ve ever tasted. Call ahead and visit during one of their candymaking demonstrations. You’ll get free samples of candy cane fresh and hot from the oven. The flavor will knock you over. Logan’s is at 125 W. B St., just off Euclid Avenue in downtown Ontario. Call (909) 984-5410. Visit online at www.loganscandies.com.
Here are my two other favorite candyland stops in the Inland Empire:
Laymon Candies in San Bernardino specializes in chocolates. Try the lemon cream chocolates! The shop also sells a fun assortment of old-fashioned commercial candies such as Zagnut , Abba Zabba, Crows, even candy cigarettes. You’ll find Laymon Candies at 276 Commercial Road, just west of Waterman Avenue about halfway between the 10 freeway in San Bernardino and Barton Road in Loma Linda.
You’ll also find exquisite chocolates at Granlunds Restaurant and Candies in Yucaipa. It’s at 12194 California St. Go for dinner, and pick up some candy for dessert.
