It’s almost time for Showtime

La Mirada High School’s fifth annual Showtime Tournament will offer local softball fans a chance to see four of the area’s best teams competing against each other.
The eight team field begins play Saturday with each team playing two games, and concludes May 5, with all the games being played at La Mirada’s Regional Park.
In addition to La Mirada, local entrants are La Habra, El Rancho and St. Paul.
Seeing them play each other should provide fodder for discussion of which is the area’s best team and who are the area’s best players.

    Pertaining to a previous blog:

NEW YORK (AP) – Metal bats will be banned in high school baseball starting this September in the nation’s largest school system after the City Council on Monday overrode a mayoral veto of the bill.

I hope we do the same!!!!!

I would like to see La Serna play La Mirada. Now that would be a good matchup.

    Yo, sbfan,
Indeed. La Serna vs. La Mirada softball would be interesting. La Mirada probably the more complete package, but La Serna’s pitching makes the Lancers competitive no matter the opponent.
