Cal-Hi Athletic Director Jim Arnold confirmed Tuesday morning that Cal-Hi and La Serna have come to an agreement on making up a missed Del Rio League boys and girls soccer game.
In what has become a well-anticipated girls soccer showdown, the Daily News’ top-ranked Lancers (12-5-1 overall, 4-0 in league) will play at No. 3 Cal-Hi (10-7-2, 4-0) at 5:15 p.m. next Monday.
The 5:15 time has been requested by Cal-Hi the last few years to allow more parents and fans an opportunity to see the match. JV goes at 3:15 p.m.
The La Serna boys host Cal-Hi at 3:15 p.m., also on Monday.
Lastly, KUDOS to the La Serna boys soccer team on a strong 1-0 upset of El Rancho on Monday. Jose Evaristo scored the game-winning goal while keeper Franco Pliego recorded seven saves.
The loss is El Rancho’s first of the season.
