First, I’d like to welcome a new/old member of the team back to the area.

• Former WDN sports writer Eric Terrazas has come back to work with the paper. He will assist me with coverage of both area college and prep sports.

You may have already seen Eric’s work in the paper. He’s a big wrestling buff and has covered the Del Rio League this season in addition to last week’s CIF-SS Division 3 Wrestling Dual-Meet Championships.

Eric grew up in Whittier, attended local schools (you’ll have to ask him if you want to know) and brings a wealth of knowledge to this sports department. Please welcome him.

• Secondly, there have been a few requests for football all-league lists (specifically Del Rel League).

Over the following week, I will do my best to post those lists here online. Just be patient.

• Third, the blog will be undergoing some changes this week.

One big change is that we’re going to update the URL (web address). I’ll have some more updates as soon as I find out.
