The rumors are true again. Schurr High School athletic director Tom Thompson confirmed the Spartans have hired Adam Millan as their new baseball coach, replacing Ken Marrero.

The news was met with much enthusiasm at the school yesterday.

“We are very excited,” Thompson said. “Number one, he’s a Schurr alumnus. He’s also had quite a bit of success in his career.”

Milan was a member of the Cal State Fullerton 1994 College World Series team and played six years within the Philadelphia Phillies organization.

According to Thompson, Marrero will remain on campus as an instructor but resigned as baseball coach at the end of this past season.
