BREAKING NEWS: A La Habra football coach confirmed that senior quarterback Cody Clements has just verbally committed to Washington State.

Clements earlier received an offer from Sacramento State but has decided to go further north. Clements joins a recent chain of area athletes that have or are headed to Pullman, including St. Paul’s Dwight Tardy, Santa Fe’s Romeo Pellum and most recently, La Mirada’s Max Gama.

Clements threw for 2, 095 yards last season with 29 touchdowns against only five interceptions in leading the Highlanders to their second straight CIF-Southern Section Southwest Divisional title and third straight CIF-SS divisional crown.

Clements was a Freeway League, CIF-SS Southwest Division and All-Area first-team selection.
