Needless to say, the Highlanders laid out an ambitious nonleague schedule with three D-1 schools. So far, they’re 0-2 but feel like they have a pretty good chance against St. John Bosco with a healthy quarterback in Cody Clements. St. John Bosco’s new coach is Jason Negro, the former head guy at Trabuco Hills. That’s the same Trabuco Hills team the Highlanders knocked out of the playoffs the last two years, including in last season’s Division 6 title game. St. Paul fans may recognize Bosco’s junior quarterback in one-time transfer Rene “Ray” Medina.
