Video Takes: La Serna at El Rancho (Week 6)

It’s on to the first Week 6 video prediction/breakdown with SGVfootballer Aram Tolegian. Here we talk about the Del Rio League showdown as Daily News’ No. 2-ranked La Serna (4-1) invades No. 4 El Rancho (4-1) on Friday at 7 p.m.

El Rancho enters with a magic number of 198. When the Dons have rushed for 198 yards, they’re 4-0. Only Bell Gardens kept El Rancho under 198 and only Bell Gardens has been able to defeat El Rancho. In that game, the Dons were without starting quarterback Troy Campos, who I believe will be the X-factor in the game. Expect the Lancers to load the box looking to try to slow El Rancho’s rushing attack. If Campos’ can pass with some efficiency, the Dons have a good chance of winning.

As for La Serna, the Lancers can pass the ball with Andrew Buenrostro and can run it with a a trio of talented backs. The La Serna offensive line will need to watch out for El Rancho’s Jake Garcia (eight sacks) and Jordan Barron (four sacks).
