La Habra (7-3) is the area’s only entrant in the Division 6 playoffs and was given a solid No. 3 seed thanks in part to the Highlanders’ brutal nonleague schedulede. Here is the just released divisional bracket.
The Freeway League champion Highlanders open at home with Century League No. 4 El Dorado (4-6) before a more-than-probable shot with Empire League No. 2 Cypress (8-1) in the second round.
My Analysis: The Highlanders probably aren’t going to have as easy a time to a title game this year as last. After El Dorado, the Highlanders meet with a Cypress team that was beating them for a half in last year’s divisional semifinal. After that, it’s likely a showdown with divisional No. 2 Laguna Hills (9-0).
