It’s CIF-Southern Section playoff pairings day for baseball and softball, and so far there is some good news coming out of the CIF-SS office in Los Alamitos.
El Rancho, which finished fourth in the Del Rio League after losing three out of its last four, received an at-large bid and will be in the baseball playoffs, which begin with wild-card games on Thursday.
The complete pairings will be announced at 11 a.m. (softball) and 12:30 p.m. (baseball).
