It was a day of mixed results for the Whittier-area schools that took part in the CIF-Southern Section girls basketball and girls water polo playoffs.  Santa Fe, St. Paul and Cantwell Sacred Heart each advanced in their respective divisions in the girls basketball playoffs.  La Serna’s girls water polo team, meanwhile, punched its ticket to Wednesday’s Division 4 semifinals by defeating Sunny Hills.
