It’s championship Saturday and we have three Whittier-area teams playing in CIF-Southern Section divisional finals today.  El Rancho will be the first team in action as they face Channel Islands in the Division 3 boys soccer final scheduled for noon at Warren High School in Downey.
La Serna will also play at Warren HS today in the Division 5 girls soccer championship game slated for 5 p.m. against Cabrillo of Lompoc.
St. Paul, meanwhile, will take on St. Monica for the Division 4A girls basketball crown. That final-round matchup is scheduled for 5:30 p.m. at Mater Dei HS in Santa Ana.
