Wren saves her best for when it’s needed most

La Serna pitcher Jamie Wren got tough when she needed to Thursday against St. Paul, holding the Swordsmen without a hit in 13 at-bats with runners in scoring position in the Lancers’ 2-0 victory.
The junior lefty struck out three and allowed eight hits, but worked out of jams in the third, fourth, fifth and sixth innings without allowing a run.
La Serna won for the 11th consecutive time and improved its record to 11-1. St. Paul fell to 12-5.
