The Del Rio League became a little bit more interesting Wednesday after first-place Cal suffered its first DRL loss of the season.
The Condors’ 2-0 loss to El Rancho, coupled with La Serna’s 8-5 victory over Santa Fe, cut Cal’s lead in the league to one game. The same teams will meet again Friday.
Cal fell to 7-1 while the Dons improved to 2-6. La Serna improved to 6-2 and Santa Fe fell to 4-4.
Also Wednesday, La Mirada topped Narbonne 6-0 to claim the championship of the St. Paul Easter Tournament.
