Football football football that’s all I keep hearing about. What about wrestling? My son is a wrestler at St Paul and they are ruining the team there! First they fire the head coach. The coach that started the program. A coach my son and I loved and so did all of the other parents, then they make one of the dads coach. Just because he is in the dads club at school and friends with the football coach. Ridiculous. Then they get a new athletic director that knows NOTHING about sports. And that new coach, he wasted time setting up a club team and a girls team. And wanted us to do fundraising for his nonsense? What a joke! If my son was 6 feet tall and 200 lbs then the school would love him. This is not fair. The wrestlers are not even working out. Last year they were working out during the summer. I guess the new coach would rather watch his friends team than work with ours!

Every school has messed up politics and favoritism for alumni. We just see it here because that’s where we invest much of our time. Meanwhile, at Servite, an incident involving a pedophilic teacher has been all but swept under the rug, Crespi is hiring coaches for $200K, and Salesian is assisting players in faking addresses!

But yeah, I do agree, our school’s administration is rather corrupt and incompetent. Some athletically-clueless 60-year-old bag is now AD? What? We still haven’t fired our baseball coach, despite the fact that no players or parents respect him, and baseball players refuse to transfer here? Huh?

I say it’s best just to ride it out. You really don’t want to risk screwing with your son’s college chances. If you have a younger son/daughter, then consider alternative schools. Or voice your concerns to other parents, although it may not do much.

St. Paul has made some bad decisions in the recent past and it is now catching up to them. SP has good families but overall it is failing. I am still of fan of the sports but the school Ive heard is a mess academically and administration is bad. SP will be 3-0 after tonight.

First, I am biased towards the new coach. I heard from multiple people that he was able to get scholarship offers for both of his graduating seniors. And neither was varsity. And how is having a club team or a girls team bad? I was seriously considering letting my kids join the team. I hope the Admin realizes their first priority -the kids, and brings him back.

You keep hearing about football because this is FOOTBALL SEASON! You sound like a bitter woman. stop complaining here. did you talk to your sons new coach? if wrestling is like any other sport they probably need a club team. baseball, basketball and all other sports have club teams. no you probly just complained to everyone else like ur doing here… just from what you wrote, i dont see anything wrong… you are probably bitter cuz the coach you “loved” youre words probably paid attention to you and this guy doesnt. Tell your husband to pay attention to you so your sons coach can focus on the team.
