The third time was the charm for the Cantwell Sacred Heart of Mary girls basketball team.
The Cardinals, who played in three tournaments this month, won their own Cardinal Classic on Tuesday, scoring a 47-33 victory over Whittier in the title game.
Super Soph Lilly Perkins led Cantwell with 19 points and 11 rebounds. Vanessa Espinosa had 10 points, five rebounds and three steals. Cantwell improved to 11-2.
Espinosa was tournament MVP, with Perkins and Steph Guera earning all-tournament.
