YYB Instructional Division to start soon

Yucaipa Youth Basketball (YYB) would like to send out a special invitation for all 1st and 2nd Grade boys and girls to participate in the 2008-2009 Instructional Division this season. The kids have an exciting time learning the fundamentals of basketball.

Lots of games and trophies too
This season the 1st and 2nd Grade Division teams will be playing 10 league games and all the players in this division will receive trophies for participating.

There will be no try outs for this division. Each game will have four 8-minute quarters and no score will be kept. The coaches will instruct their players during the game while on the court. YYB also provides trained referees to further instruct these young players.

Kids will have fun and learn skills
Our goal is for these young athletes is to have fun in a positive atmosphere, where winning is not the primary focus, but building skills for later basketball success is foremost. We want our youth to learn good sportsmanship, which is characterized by courtesy and genuine concern for others.

Sign up early and save money
YYB will begin early sign-ups on Saturday, September 13, 2008 at the Bryant Glen Sports Complex and the Community Center from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Both locations are at Oak Glen Road and Sunnyside Drive. Early registration fees for 3rd through 12th Grade Divisions are $65.00 per player and $60.00 for each additional family member.

Look what the kids get for low costt
The early registration fees for 1st and 2nd Grade Division will be $55.00 per player and $50.00 for each additional family member. The fees include jerseys, referees, equipment, facilities, lights, insurance, scorekeepers and pictures.

Early registration will continue on Saturday, September 20 and 27, and October 4 from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. at both locations, and on Sunday, September 21, and October 5 from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. Sunday registration will ONLY be at the Bryant Glen Sports Complex.

Still not to late to sign up
Late registration will begin after October 5, 2008 with the fees increasing to $75.00 per player and $70.00 for each additional family member in the 3rd through 12th Grade Divisions. The late registration fees for the 1st and 2nd Grade Division will increase to $65.00 per player and $60.00 for each additional family member.
