YUCAIPA - Like an Army of soldiers on a mission to conquer, volunteers scattered about the city on Saturday, Oct. 25 planting trees, installing irrigation lines, conducting a food drive, cleaning up mobile home parks, picking up litter - and many more worthwhile projects - including painting block walls at Seventh Street Park as Stacie Seal did.

"We had a great turnout for our three projects (voluntarily undertaken) by the Public Works Department," said Mike Seal, Stacie's dad, and an Associate Engineer with the department.

Along with painting at the park, volunteers planted trees at I-Street Park and shrubs at Community Park. After all the work was finished, volunteers gathered at Community Park for a much-deserved picnic and free lunch.
