Beat the heat with a brew or two today at the National Orange Show Brew Fest

Beer fans can celebrate their independence from corporate brews today (June 8) at the fourth annual ‘Red, White and Brew’ Brew Fest and Homebrew Competition.

The event takes place from 1 to 4 p.m. at the National Orange Show Events Center, 690 S. Arrowhead Ave., San Bernardino. (or is that Beer-nardino?)

General admission tickets ($25 in advance, plus $3.32 in service fees) include a souvenir tasting glass for unlimited beer samples. VIP tickets are $40 in advance (plus $4.39 in service fees) and include the souvenir tasting glass, a T-shirt, key chain, preferred parking and early entrance at noon.

Entry-only tickets — no beer tasting — are $10 (plus $2.26 in service fees), and kids younger than 12 get in free.

Click here to purchase tickets. Prices will be $5 more at the door.

Participating local breweries include Bootlegger’s Brewery, Brewcaipa, Brew Rebellion, Garage Brewing Co., Hangar 24 Craft Brewery, Heroes Restaurant and Brewery, No Clue Craft Brewery, Ritual Brewing Co., Sons of Liberty Aleworks and Wicks Brewing Co.

A portion of proceeds benefit the National Orange Show Foundation.
