Packinghouse Brewing Company’s third anniversary event to benefit pet adoption center

HopsandHoundsThis is one brewery event that is going to the dogs.

Incidentally, it’s going to the cats as well.

Riverside’s Packinghouse Brewing Company is using its third anniversary event to raise funds for the Mary S. Roberts Pet Adoption Center.

The 21-and-over event will take place from 6 to 10 p.m. Saturday (October 5) at the brewery, 6124 Central Ave., Suite 101-A.

The “Hops & Hounds *” fundraiser will feature a beer garden (obviously), plus food trucks and live bands.

Salted Pig hosting Allagash tap takeover tomorrow

Riverside’s Salted Pig will have an Allagash Brewing Company tap takeover tomorrow (October 1).

A dozen Allagash beers will be available on tap and in the bottle.

The event begins at 11 a.m. and will run through midnight.

Flights consisting of four five-ounce draft pours will be available for $18. Full pours will also be available.

Garage Brewing Co. and Pizzeria in Temecula holding job fair

Garage Brewing Co. and Pizzeria is looking to staff the pizzeria portion of its soon-to-open location and is hosting a job fair tomorrow (October 1) and Wednesday (October 2).

The event will run from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Tuesday and from 1 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the future location, 29095 Old Town Front Street, Temecula.

Full- and part-time positions are available.

Rancho Cucamonga food truck festival to benefit Steven’s Hope

Just head to the Food Trucks for Steven’s Hope event from 5 to 8 p.m. Saturday (October 5) at the Four Points by Sheraton, 11960 Foothill Blvd., Rancho Cucamonga.

There is no admission charge for the event, which will also feature local vendors and several live music performances.

Food trucks, free concert in Beaumont tomorrow

Pardee Homes’ Sundance community is celebrating its tenth anniversary tomorrow with a celebration that will include a bluegrass concert and a trio of food trucks.

The free event runs from 4 to 7 p.m. at Wildflower Park, 1287 Tulip Circle West, Beaumont.

The band is the Mill Creek Boys, which, judging by their Facebook profile picture, includes at least one girl. Ironic, huh?

Scheduled food trucks are Slummin’ Gourmet, Eat ‘Em Up Truck and Kona Ice.

End of the Fireball Run means food trucks, brew fest, food specials in Riverside tomorrow

FireballRunThe city of Riverside is the end of the line for the 2,500-mile Fireball Run Adventurally, a combination road race, trivia game, online reality show and missing children awareness campaign.

The race will end its run with a free event tomorrow from noon to 6 p.m. in downtown Riverside.

The event will include a car show with Hollywood, exotic and classic cars, live music, a kids zone, a wine and brew fest, food trucks and food specials from downtown eateries.

Tokyo Tokyo is now Shin Bashi

TokyoTokyoAs I was on my way to the final Auntie Anne’s Happy Hour at Ontario Mills today, I noticed a banner hanging outside the center’s outlying Tokyo Tokyo Japanese restaurant.

The longtime restaurant (I believe it’s been there nearly as long as the Mills itself) is under new management.

Along with that comes a name change: Shin Bashi Japanese Cuisine.

It’s associated with a Pomona restaurant of the same name.

Shin Bashi is at 990 Ontario Mills Drive, Suite H.

Inka Trails hosting another wine pairing dinner Friday night

Peruvian restaurant Inka Trails is hosting another of its special wine pairing dinners from 5 to 10 p.m. Friday night (September 27) at the restaurant, 1077 W. Foothill Blvd., Claremont.

The event includes a three-course dinner paired with Peruvian and Argentinian wines.

Cost is $35 (plus tax) in advance and $40 the day of the event.

Tilted Kilt coming to Chino; last casting call is today

TiltedKiltChinoScottish-themed sports pub Tilted Kilt is coming to Chino.

It’ll be the third Inland Empire location for the chain, joining locations in Palm Desert and Temecula.

The location is holding its last casting call for Kilt Girls and back of house employees today from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. and 4 to 8 p.m. today (September 20) at the Ayers Hotel and Suites, 4785 Chino Hills Parkway, Chino Hills.
