Wienerschnitzel, home of the world’s most wanted wiener, recently launched a new item that has absolutely nothing to do with hot dogs: Loaded Po’Taters.

The new offering is made with hash brown-style discs, topped with various savory ingredients.

Dunkin’ Donuts planned for Rialto

As I was glancing through the latest Rialto city administrator update (you can read it yourself here), something caught my attention.

A new shopping center, anchored by “Smart and Final Express” (likely a Smart & Final — Extra!) and a Dollar Tree, is also scheduled to have a “Hawaiian Ono” (Ono Hawaiian BBQ, perhaps?) and a drive-thru Dunkin’ Donuts!

That would bring the total number of Inland Empire locations to four.

Miguels Jr. looking to hire 100 in the Inland Empire; hiring event is Saturday

Business is booming at Miguel’s Jr.,  which has been rolling out its new breakfast menu to its 14 Inland Empire and Orange County locations,and the company is looking to hire 100 full- and part-time employees.

The chain will hold a hiring event from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday (April 30) at its corporate headquarters, 280 Corporate Terrace St., Corona.

Foothill AIDS Project to benefit from this year’s Dining Out For Life

In years past, we’ve written about the annual Dining Out For Life charity event, during which restaurants help raise money for AIDS service organizations.

Thus far, however, the focus has been on Palm Springs-area restaurants raising money for Desert AIDS Project, which is great, but what about the rest of the Inland Empire?

Well…we’ve got good news: For the first time, Foothill AIDS Project is going to be a beneficiary.

The fourth annual Riverside Tamale Festival is set for 11 a.m. to 6 p.m.

The Pasadena-born chain will be giving away Haus Dogs (your choice of hot dogs or sausages) from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. Friday (April 8) at its first Inland Empire location — 350 N. McKinley St., Suite 102, Corona.

In addition, the first 24 people in line on Friday will receive a free Dog Haus combo every month for five months, and a free T-shirt and cap.
