Kings trim their training camp roster

The Kings announced a second round of cuts, trimming their training-camp roster to 37 Friday. Forwards Justin Auger, Ryan Horvat, Maxim Kitsyn, Michael Mersch and Scott Sabourin and defensemen Kevin Gravel, Zachary Leslie, Kurtis MacDermid, Colin Miller and Alex Roach were assigned to the Kings’ AHL team in Manchester, N.H.

Defenseman Alex Lintuniemi and forward Valentin Zykov were returned to their junior teams, Ottawa of the OHL and Baie-Comeau of the QMJHL.

Goaltender Jeff Deslauriers was released from his pro tryout.
