Bruins add home-and-home series with Texas A&M in 2016, 2017

Jim Mora has touted national championship aspirations nearly since the moment he stepped foot on the UCLA campus. He’s ensuring that the Bruins schedule like a contender.

The UCLA football team has added a home-and-home series with Texas A&M, starting at College Station on Sept. 3, 2016 and returning to the Rose Bowl on Sept. 2, 2017. It will mark the first meeting between the two teams since the 1998 Cotton Bowl, a 29-23 Bruins’ victory that saw Cade McNown lead them back from a 16-0 deficit.

UCLA also added a new home-and-home series with San Diego State in 2019 and 2020. The new additions bump a home-and-home series with Rutgers back to 2020 and 2021.

Over the next ten years, the Bruins’ nonconference schedule is also loaded with a games at Texas (2014, AT&T Stadium), Oklahoma (2018) and Michigan (2022).
