WHITTIER >> Pioneer High School christened its new football stadium in grand fashion Thursday night.Phillip Hernandez threw for 287 yards and accounted for two touchdowns and Anthony Ramos rushed for two scores as the Titans opened the season with a 28-0 victory over Artesia in a nonleague game. Pioneer was just 1-9 last season.Angel Bodnar also had 118 yards receiving and one touchdown for Pioneer.The Pioneers had just three first downs and were limited to 24 yards. Pioneer also forced three turnovers.Rian Hughing had 46 yards receiving for Artesia, which was 4-6 last season.
