Wes Johnson: Clippers need short memory after loss to Denver

The Clippers can’t afford to lose games they should win, especially at home. But that’s what happened to them Wednesday night when they were defeated 87-81 by the Denver Nuggets (23-35) at Staples Center.

The Clippers (37-20) took a franchise-record 46 3-point shot attempts and made just 13 for 28.3 percent. Wes Johnson shot just 1 of 7 from beyond the arc. He was bummed, but philosophic.

“We just have to have a short-term memory and move on to the next game,” he said. “The thing about the NBA is that we have to redeem ourselves in the next game.”
