Blake Griffin on Tuesday played in his fifth game since returning from injuries and a suspension that cost him 45 games on the shelf. He scored 12 points on 5 of 10 shooting and pulled down seven rebounds while doling out four assists in 23-plus minutes of the Clippers’ 110-84 rout of visiting Memphis. Griffin also had three steals.

Griffin is rounding into form, but he said post-game that it would be nice if he had longer to prepare for the playoffs, which begin this weekend.

“I wish I had three or four more games, but that’s not the way it works,” he said. “The playoffs are a little bit different because there is so much attention to detail. There is always a day between games with no back-to-backs, so that will be great as far as being able to get some rest and recover a little bit.”
