Dodgers co-owner Magic Johnson made the media rounds today to talk about the death of Lakers owner Jerry Buss.

All Dr. Buss ever wanted to do was WIN and he did. Dr. Buss won 10 Championships – 5 with me as a player & 5 with me as his partner.

Dodgers president Stan Kasten called Buss “a role model for owners in all sports.” Kasten was president of the NBA’s Atlanta Hawks from 1979-90 and said that he became friends with Buss over the years.
“I was there when he was voted into the NBA,” he said. “I remember it like yesterday.”
